How to Play

Option 1: Play in your browser

1. Open the System Directory.
2. Choose a system and open its page.
3. Press Connect. The built-in terminal supports full ANSI color and the IBM (DOS) extended character set.
4. Create a character when prompted and follow the on-screen instructions. See Instructions for the manual.

Option 2: Connect with telnet or a MUD client

Each system page lists its telnet address and port. From a terminal run telnet host port, or use a client such as SyncTERM, MUSHclient or MegaMUD, set to ANSI-BBS terminal type and CP437 / IBM character set for correct graphics.

Tips

• Use a monospaced font that supports box drawing characters.
• Only systems on this site are official and sanctioned. Beware of pirate systems; owners can be verified with Metropolis.
